THE FUSAGASUGÁ INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL FICFUSA OPENS CALL FOR ITS 12th EDITION
The Fusagasugá International Film Festival (FICFUSA) is pleased to announce the opening of submissions for its two competitive categories in the 12th edition, reaffirming its commitment to highlighting the role of women in cinema and their relationship with territory.
This year, FICFUSA is renewed and ignited with strength, passion, and spirit, embracing fire and its transformative power as its guiding theme. Inspired by the divine fire of wisdom and creativity, the festival seeks to be a space where ideas move from imagination to reality, sparking new forms of expression and cinematic exploration. Like fire that illuminates, renews, and transforms, cinema has the power to provoke meaningful change in both those who create it and those who experience it.
COMPETITIVE CATEGORIES
Un Hecho Corto: Regional short film competition that seeks to recover facts, characters, stories, and locations from Cundinamarca; discover new talents in directing and producing; and contribute to the construction of a lasting audiovisual memory. Short films must be shot in one of the 116 municipalities of the department and have a maximum duration of 15 minutes.
Hechos de Mujeres: Competition for audiovisual works in the categories of documentary, fiction, and animation, completed after January 1, 2023, with a minimum running time of 45 minutes. Films may address issues related to women—such as diversity, rights, struggles, cultural and social norms, and equity—regardless of the gender of the director.
